The third project call within the thematic programme Cognitive Sciences of the Vienna Science and Technology Fund (WWTF) addresses researchers at universities and non-university research institutions in Vienna, including researchers moving to Vienna as a result of this call, who want to conduct an innovative interdisciplinary research project (2-4 years) in the field of Cognitive Sciences.
Proposals must bring together researchers from two to three different scientific disciplines to address innovative research questions in the field of Cognitive Sciences (incl. Neurosciences) in order to advance the understanding of cognition and behaviour in humans, animals and/or artificial cognitive systems.
In total 3 Mio. € are dedicated to this call. Funding range per project is 200,000 to 600,000 €.
In this call a two-stage submission process is used. Proposals have to be submitted in two stages: first a short proposal is submitted describing the key idea, objectives and approach for the proposed work. Second, if the short proposal is successful, the applicants are invited to submit a full proposal.
Short proposals had to be submitted by 2 pm, April 12, 2018. Full proposals have to be submitted by 2 pm, August 9, 2018.
